Cargo Bikes Extend the Use of a Bike to a True Transportation Alternative |

As the price of gas increases, many people are looking for alternative forms of transportation. Bicycling has always been popular for shorter distance trips, but many bicycles have limited carrying capacity, which limits their use. The advent of a new form of bicycle, the cargo bike changes this. A cargo bike is just like a regular bike, but is longer with a substantial carrying rack in back. This allows the rider to carry a week's worth of groceries, bulky items or even children in bicycle child seats. This addition changes the bicycle into a green transportation alternative, extending its use from just recreation to transportation.
